Meet Our Pets

Our Furry Family Members

All our puppies are bred from our family pets, who live with us in our family home.

They are first and foremost our much loved companion pets, and secondly breeding stock.

In these days of illicit puppy farming, none of our animals are either caged or in kennels, each having their own bed indoors, or in some cases preferring the sofa.

Bonnie (K.C. Golden Retriever)

Bonnie is our K.C. Registered Golden Retreiver, and mother to our F1 Goldendoodle Princess.

She was our autistic daughter’s first assistance/companion dog until her well earned retirement and possess a lovely calm and unflappable nature.

She comes from the reputable Blangolden lines with both Working and show championship in her genes as well as excellent genetic hip scores

These qualities have been passed onto her offspring.

Princess (Goldendoodle - F1)

Princess is our F1 Goldendoodle, our keeper from Bonnie’s first litter.

She has inherited most of her mothers calm temperament as well as a wicked sense of play.

She is the perfect support dog for our autistic/ADHD son because in addition to her calm nature, she revels in joining in with Harrison’s boisterous play and loves a good ball game or swim. She has the energy and enthusiasm to keep up with him.

She showcases the aims of crossing the friendly and lovable retriever with the smartness and playfulness of the Standard Poodle and passed her health tests with flying colours;

DNA – Clear of Retriever/Poodle conditions

BVA/KC/ISDS Eye Test – Unaffected

BVA Hip Score – 5/6 (Total 11)

BVA Elbow Score – 0/0 (Total 0)

Candy (K.C. Golden Retriever)

Candy is our other K.C. registered Golden Retriever and is a great example of the breed, with dedication and such a loving heart.

She is everybody’s best friend and very gentle. Candy has in the last few months taken over from Bonnie as Caitlyn’s emotional support dog and it is lovely to see the bond they have developed.

As with all our dogs, Candy has been fully health tested, with exceptional results;

(i)  DNA –  PRA1, PRA2 & ICT-_A  –  Clear

(ii) BVA/KC/ISDS Eye Test – Unaffected

(iii) BVA Eye Test (PLA) – Grade 0

(iv) BVA Hip Score –  4/4 (Total 8)

(v) BVA Elbow Score – 0/0 (Total 0)

Pluto - K.C. Standard Poodle

Pluto is a joy to own and is a very tall proud boy.

Registered as red, he is apricot which is relatively rare for poodles. He comes from Irish champion lines and is such a gentle giant who loves people and such a friendly nature, never portraying any of the stand offish nature many poodles possess.

He also returned excellent health results;

(i) DNA –  vWD, prcd-PRA, PRA(rcd4) – Clear

(ii) BVA/KC/ISDS Eye Test – Unaffected

(iii) BVA Hip Score –  4/5 (Total 9)

(iv) BVA Elbow Score –  0/0 (Total 0)

Lucky (Bichon Frise)

Lucky is our lovable Bichon Frise and can usually be found on one of our sofas.

Aptly named, he is very lucky to be here with us after an unfortunate start in life.

Rejected by his mother at 1 day old, he was cold and dehydrated until Sue took him under her wing. it was a struggle to bottle feed him and as the next few weeks went on he was diagnosed to have a double cleft pallet  and dis-formed rear leg.

At 13 weeks old once he made 1.5 kg he went into Pride Animal Hospital to have his mouth repaired and one of his rear legs amputated.

Since then he has never looked back and runs and jumps around like any 4 legged dog, keeping up with his other canine companions, always happy and always smiling.

Most breeders would have let nature take its course but with his fighting spirit and our determination he is a joy to have

Honey (Goldendoodle F1)

Honey is our F1 Goldendoodle which we kept from Candy’s first Litter with Pluto.

At time of writing, she is 8 months old.

She is a very loving girl with an incredible bond with Caitlyn.

We will shortly be undertaking her DNA health tests and once she is one year old we will arrange for her hip and elbow scores as well as her BVA eye tests.

If all is in order, she will continue Candy’s lines, and if not will continue to be our very loved pet and member of our family.
